Courses and students by plan
On systeme.io, courses run 1, 5, 20 and Unlimited across Free, Startup, Webinar and Unlimited. On Free the student limit is 500 per the plan card, though other systeme.io pages say every plan has unlimited students, so check it in a free account if more than 500 students matter; the free plan guide sets out both. The three paid plans show Unlimited students on the card.

The course builder takes video lessons, PDF downloads, modules and lectures, quizzes and progress tracking, and it can lock modules or bundle several courses together. Videos can be embedded from YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia, or uploaded: storage is unlimited, but one video file cannot exceed 2 GB.
Access comes in four types: full, drip, partial, and partial with drip. With drip content, students reach modules and lectures step by step after the delay you set.
The systeme.io courses page says it has no native certificate generation, while a help article documents an Issue certificate upon completion setting, so check the certificate setting in a free account if certificates matter to you.
Selling the course
A course is sold from an order form in a funnel: choose Digital product, add the course as the resource and create a price plan (one-time, subscription or payment plan), which the product needs before it can be saved. After payment the buyer gets access to the course automatically. An order bump on the same form can add a second course, a course bundle or a community, and several courses can be sold together as a bundle or a membership subscription.
The pricing page lists a 0% transaction fee on every plan; card processing is extra, charged by Stripe or PayPal.
Which plan a course business needs
The Free plan holds 1 course, enough to build and sell a first one. Startup, $17 a month, billed monthly as read on October 6, 2026, allows 5 courses, and Webinar, $47 a month, billed monthly, allows 20. Student activity history is on all four plans. A free account also carries a lifetime sales cap in the terms.
